Does anybody know who the president was during space exploration?

Of the U.S. ? There have been many. George W. Bush is one since we are still exploring space. Kennedy and Johnson are perhaps best known because they were president at the height of the space race, but it was Nixon who was president when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon.

tham153 is correct. Manned space exploration was begun by Pres. Kennedy when he announced our goal to put a man on the moon by the end of the 1960's. But The russians launched the world's first man made satellite in 1957 under Eisenhower, and we shortly followed.

continued through every president since then.
