In New York you have to be 16. I got my license when I was 20. Been driving for 5 years. I will not admit to any prior driving incidences before that ! : )

you should have mandatory id to get your learner's allow, so dig that up back. identity Requirement: valid motive force's License or delivery certificate and Social safe practices quantity.

i'm 19 and i have a permit but when you live in a really small town you don't really need to drive. Everything is in walking distance.
