i have raid1 and i got a window saying i have corrupted files, and then i discovered that all 4 of my virus scanner/blockers were turned off, when i usually have them on.i ended up clearing the hard drive. so here is my question, was it a kick butt virus or was it becuase of my RAID setup and gameguard????

it also deleted all of my restore points :(

A kick butt virus. Next time try system restore before clearing your hard drive. It will restore your system to a point in time when it worked.

Virus... Gameguard turns off the firewalls while your playing so that the game can play, but "Guards" the computer against viruses.
