An excerpt from the bio of Bill Clinton is a good indicator of how the US would do with a Democratic President:

During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history. He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term. He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus. As part of a plan to celebrate the millennium in 2000, Clinton called for a great national initiative to end racial discrimination.

After the failure in his second year of a huge program of health care reform, Clinton shifted emphasis, declaring "the era of big government is over." He sought legislation to upgrade education, to protect jobs of parents who must care for sick children, to restrict handgun sales, and to strengthen environmental rules.

In the world, he successfully dispatched peace keeping forces to war-torn Bosnia and bombed Iraq when Saddam Hussein stopped United Nations inspections for evidence of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. He became a global proponent for an expanded NATO, more open international trade, and a worldwide campaign against drug trafficking. He drew huge crowds when he traveled through South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and China, advocating U.S. style freedom.

I do not think it will be that bad, we dealt with Clinton for eight years and he tried his hardest to destroy the military and the United States. If we had a President that tried to take over the Country and stay in power for too long than I have a feeling that most of the military and other patriots would force the President to resign and we would have another Presidential election.

I am still waiting for the police state that President Bush was suppose to impose right after 9/11. Also, him not allowing the next Presidential election turned out to be false also.

Both parties are more liberal than JFK & MLK, but not that bad yet.The Dems do a great job at insuring nothinggets done while the Republican have control. Neither party has offered up anyone with a vision to create wealth in the world for decades. Don't offer up Clinton as some one who did. He did nothing to conceeve, design, or nurture it. Yes it did go beyound the militaries vision while Clinton was at the Whitehouse.

All that and the some. We need a President with a backbone, someone that's not so concerned with being so "p.c.", someone who is willing to stake his reputation for the good of the country and for our defenses.

You'll all need to start diggin out your bomb shelters.. Make sure to make it deep enough for a nuclear attack! Once the election is over you all should go down there right away! Don't waste time.. Make sure you stay for eight years!! You'd want to make sure the contamination is gone!

Yes to all of the above.

If a Dem wins in 08, I'm planning on going into the white flag making business. That way I'll be able to buy an island somewhere when he/she totally destroys our country.

Yes. Let's elect a Republican so we can have decades of un-ending war.

Yes Republicans love to send 20 year old American men to die in far away lands.

You act as if a Democrat has never been president. I suggest you get your head out of your *** and actually learn the history of your country.
