A good combination is Ginger, Capsicum (cayenne pepper), Goldenseal, and Licorice.

Ginger helps with nausea. Capsicum stimulates the body to heal and is high in Vitamin C (it also brings out the properties of the other herbs). Licorice soothes inflamed mucous membranes. Goldenseal is an infection-fighter.

You can find Goldenseal capsules and Cayenne capsules at Walmart. The Licorice will have to be bought online or at a store that sells herbs. Even if you don't have the Licorice, you can try these others. They all come in powder form. If you don't make them into capsules, you can make a tea. (see recipe below). You will have to strain them through a very fine cloth in order to get all of the powder out. Or just mix your powders together, one part each, and when you get ready for a dose, put some into a glass of orange juice. The size of the dose will depend on your own body.

Clove tea helps with cramps and diarrhea. This is the ground cloves or whole cloves (easier) that you have in your spice rack.

Tea: Pour a cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of herbs and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink. You can add honey for a natural sweetener.
