Take a look @ the Task Manager, and see what is running...most likely, you have a virus or some spyware that is running up your cpu usage. To access the Task Manager, hold down Ctrl and Alt, and press Delete, click on the Task manager button, click on the Processes tab, and then click on CPU, which will sort the tasks by which is using the most CPU. Identify the task, do a search on Google or Yahoo to see what it is, and consider installing an anti-virus program AND an anti-spyware program (I like Spybot). In the short term, click on the process that is taking up all your cpu, and click End Process.

Hope this helps!

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the Processes Tab. Click on the 'CPU' slot twice to put them in order of highest to lowest CPU usage. Find out what process it is, and then look online to see if it's an essential process your computer needs. If it's not, end process and make sure your computer doesn't run it whenever you start up.
