Well, I am so sorry you feel this way. I am not sure of what the bible says about your thoughts, but life if not all that bad. Things are bad, they get worse and then...they get better. Just hang on... It takes time.

You're definitely not alone. I've been thinking about this for a very long time, and I'm pretty sure it's on the back of everyone's mind. People who generally enjoy life will tend to tell you that life DOES have a reason, but all the ones I've heard circumvent the question completely. I'm still holding out on the possibility of finding a good reason.

Well, my personal opinion is that life on earth is mainly like being in school. We are here to learn. I believe we all come from heaven (or whatever you want to call it) and are put here to learn lessons of life. For example, how are you supposed to truly understand pain if you've never experienced it. We are here for a better understanding and to perfect ourselves for God. (or whatever you call your higher power) Sure, you say, what's the point... well, if you want to be "all-knowing" and perfect yourself for your God, you will need to know everything. That means good and bad. I believe that we choose our lives before we come here and the things that we will experience in order to learn. Well, this is just my OPINION. If you are going through a hard time, talk to someone. It may seem "dorky" but you can always talk to a pastor. Just go into a church, you don't even have to attend or know anyone at that imparticular church. Just go in and speak to a pastor about your questions. Or you can speak with a therapist. Even if you don't have insurance, you can find one that will take you and you pay nothing or on a sliding pay scale. You can ask on here for a referral. Just live your life to the fullest. Don't give up....EVER!!!

I like to believe that everyone is here to serve a purpose. Your life affects SOMEONE'S life. Whether you want it to or not. One's purpose to me is to leave the world in a better place than what you came into it with. I don't mean you have to be Dr. King, but simple as picking up someone else's trash or holding the door for someone walking in the door after you, you are serving your purpose. I don't really worry as to WHY i'm here. Life is a gift you know? There are plenty of people dying somewhere on this planet that WISH they could type ANYTHING on the computer just like you did when you asked this question. Just remember, whatever situation you're in, it could ALWAYS be worse.

John Keating (Dead Poet's Society) quoting Dante:
"That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"

Although you may have gone through some bad times, or are currently going through them, I agree with the person who said he thinks we're all here for a purpose. If you weren't here, everything is different, especially in the timing. We're all interconnected somehow and we may never know our purpose for being here, but we do have one, or else we wouldn't be here. You need to find something or someone that can show you life is worth it because as cheezy or cliché as it sounds, you do matter.

No one is making you stay here.
Be creative I'm sure in your own home is a quick and easy way to die.
But beyond that the worth or worthlessness of life???
The point of life?
Is it a test?
Are we trying to accomplish something to reach or something?
What are the right things to do and the wrong things?
No one knows,as far as i am concerned there is really not an answer to that.
What i believe is one makes their own purpose makes life worth something.
Everyone has a reason to live loved ones, family, goals to accomplish, revenge, content whatever.
Life has not a reason or worth till one gives it a reason or makes it worthy.
I know my reason for getting up out of bed for trying to better myself and what not.
There is not realy a universal reason to live just the individuals reasons to go on to live.
Think about it what is your reason?
Surely you have some reason or otherwise you would not post this question on the internet unless you were alive.

Well there goes YOUR chances of getting into heaven - and life is not worthless. Why don't you go buy some prozac now and leave us all alone? That would be a good idea. :)
