the sound on my laptop isn't working and i cant figrue out why and there is another question.....?

i tried to downlaod iTunes and the i ended up deleting it from my computer and ever since my speakers (the sound) hasnt been working and this is very annoying if any one knows any ways or has ideas that i could fix it that would be great!!!! its a dell Inspiron 6000

You should never delete a program, you should uninstall it. Assuming you are using Windows, go to START>Control panel.
Double click "Sounds & Audio Devices". Check the Device volume slider - set it to max. Click on ADVANCED and set the vertical sliders to the top. Unclick any checked MUTE boxes. Go to SPEAKER SETTINGS click on SPEAKER VOLUME, move the top two sliders to the right, click OK. Click on ADVANCED and using the drop down menu, select the appropriate choice.
All this will probably result in your sound being way too loud - just go back and adjust the device volume slider as approptiate.
If this doesn't do it, renistall your audio (sound) driver. It's very unlikely iTunes could have damaged your sound card or speakers. Watch out for answers from people who don't know what they are talking abut.

Check your trash bin...your speaker files are probably still there and click restore. If not, go to www.downloads.com and download a driver for audio.

plug some portable speakers or headphones in notebooks phones jack see if it works if does not work then your sound card is done for it.
