Depends on what state or country you're in, and the nature of the offense. If he just exposed himself, it could be a misdemeanor and he might spend a month in jail. If he exposed himself to a child, it ramps up the charge quite a bit, and he could be required to register as a sex offender. If he was caught having sex in a public place, that's usually also a misdemeanor, unless, again, children might have been exposed to the act. You need to be more specific about what he did.
