You can call the county recorder of deeds. All counties have website and phone numbers of the office. Some counties has a database for you to search, but not all have this easy feature.

Go to the city (town) hall of the area and ask at the reception desk or city clerks office for the land records.

tax records will be the best place for that information. you can access those records at your local town hall. You can also try a site www.propertyshark.com or www.zillow.com. Sometimes they have the owner listed, but not always and to be sure you have correct info I'd go with the tax records.
