Because at 6pm the whole day has passed nearly and theres lots of news to cover.whereas at10pm the day has passed so its just really a quick recap

Where I live, there are two people reading the news at 6 and 10. Maybe your TV station has a limited news staff, and one guy has to get up early to do the morning news. The 10 pm news seems to be more of the fluff and baloney hour anyway. "Baby eats a car! News at 10!!"

Take ten, it's larger than six.
But if you multiply it by two it's large enough- it's almost twelve!
(You can't have more than twelve, because that's midnight, and that would make it tomorrow)
See? Wasn't that easy? Why do people make things so complicated?
