Lately my skin has been obnoxiously dry.. especially after I shower. My skin looks dry and flaky and itches. I have Johnson & Johnson shea and cocoa butter baby lotion and I try to use it but it seems to aggrevate and burn a little. It says hypo allergenic... Lately at night my elbows are so dry they hurt and scratch my blankets even after i rub the lotion on them. Also on the tops of my hands they feel really scaley and have little red bumps.. What lotion do you use? Is there anything else I can do.. is this caused by my pregnancy or just dry weather. Is there an in-shower body soap that will help? Thanks!

my skin has been dry and itchy like that since my pregnancy especially with the cold weather i found something that works like a miracle straight out the gates of heaven, It is Palmer's body oil spray for stretch marks and itchy skin. It has the sillhouette of a pregnant woman on the bottle. when i get out the tub as soon as i start drying off i start itching, when i spray this stuff on my skin it immediately stop itching even before i rub it in, and it absorbs so quickly and leaves no residue at all nothing like baby oil its great i highly recommend it, my husband has even started using it on his eczema patches, it only slightly relieves his problem but for me its great

Use Eucerine lotion from the tub not from the tube. It costs like 10 to 15 bucks but it is good stuff.

Try not getting hot showers that helps but also Aveno Baby works like a charm for that. Yes it is because of your pregnancy hormones that you are dry and itchy but I bought Aveno baby for my 2 yr old for his eczema and I used it and it seemed to help with the dry itchiness!

My dermatologist recommended Aveno lotion. But when I asked about intensely itchy skin on my legs from vein problems on Yahoo answers, some one recommended hemorrhoid cream. As he said, laugh now but you will thank me later. It works!
