No if the "love of your life" isn't willing to compromise and tries to make you choose they probably aren't the best person for you.If there is some bad blood between them and your family just be w/ them separately, but the person in your life should tolerate them b/c they are a part of you and vice versa!

it depends. if you come from a very loving familty that is going to be there for you no matter what then i say chose family. if you come from a messed up family that really doesn't care about you and you find that the person that you love would treat you a lot better then i say chose your partner.

My family. Family is always there and you only get one of your own not two. There are millions of partners out there and there is no guarantee you'll will be together forever. I just got of a relationship of 4 years today. I thought he was the love of my life, but was wrong becasue people change.

I chose my husband. My parents refused to try to get along with him and were very judgemental. If you didn't agree with them, you were wrong. They forced me to choose.
