Gears of War: Extreme content filter doesn't work???

Question

I was playing Gears, and I was getting disgusted with all of the horrific blood and language, so I turned the extreme content toggle on...AND NOTHING HAPPENED! Thhey still swore a lot, and guts still spewed all over the screen. What's wrong with it?

I know it's supposed to be gory, but im 13 and when my parents walk into the room...you know...

actually, the options menu asks you whether you want extreme content on or off, not whether you want a *filter* for extreme content. so if you have it "on", it will display blood and gore etc. if it's "off" the extreme content will go away

umm, i would try playing a different game....you wouldn't want to turn off what the characters are saying, listen to them it's actually pretty funny the things that they say throughout the game. And the blood and all of that stuff, that is what you have to expect from a game like this, it is just a gory game and that is what it is supposed to be. Don't turn that stuff off just play it, it's great.

Try to reboot your 360. I dont see why you wanna turn em off though. Thats what makes it an awesome shooter. See the blood yum. Alright thats fine. but most changes should take effect when youu restart your 360. i'd check but my console is just too far away from me. 4 feet XD

on gears one once you turn of the blood and gore and also you chainsaw someone its like chainsawing a robotic all you word are sparks. similar with capturing so even as the clear out is on thier isnt quite any blood only sparks. and for gears 2 it would want to properly be a similar im now to not positive.

The extreme content filter works fine for me. Maybe you need to pause the game when ur parents ***.=)
