How many of you give a damn what happens to this world providing you are not caught in the crossfire? I am not trying to be anti America but Just want to know whether you think for example that its okay for GWB to ignore the Kyoto agreement on global warming when its patently obvious that the worlds map is about to change irrevocably with flooding. THe coastline of many countries will be altered with floodplains replacing many inhabited areas. This will have many social and economic effects.Do you care or is it a clearcut case of Im alright Jack ??

PLEASE READ THIS LETTER. enc
Even though it was written 18 Nov 1992 it is still quite interesting.
30% of Americans can't read, let alone understand larger concepts other than America. Remember "War was invented so Americans could learn Geography". Why shouldn't they follow the same principal for Climate change. That's why the wrong people get elected.
Ralph Nader said " If you don't turn on to politics, politics will turn on you".

We aren't signatories to that treaty. Clinton declined to send it to the Senate because he knew it would be rejected by the greatest margin in the history of the Senate. It placed a disproportionate share of the burden on us.
We shouldn't (don't) ignore the rest of the world, but we also shouldn't let other countries tell us what sacrifices to make if they aren't making any themselves.
