I am possibly moving there within the next few months or so. And i am a little nervous about moving out. I am from the east coast and it is going to be a big change. Are a lot of people accepting of others? and is it a good area (salt lake city) to raise kids in?

No it is not hard to adjust in Utah. Salt Lake City is a good area to raise you kids. There are several things in and around Salt Lake City that you can do and your kids can do. Yes there are a lot of accepting people here in Utah and in Salt Lake City.

I have not been there but have met many people from there. I think you will be surprised by the friendliness of the people. As far as raising a family I think there are less negative influences than in other parts of the US. The majority of the population are Mormon and to the Mormons family is utmost. The raising of children to be strong, morally upright and successful members of society is a Major and common goal. I have read that Utah has the highest average intelligence as well as the highest life longevity in the US.

for me the experience was very hard, because i went to visit for myfather last summer and a lot of mormons tryed to convert. my father is adept to mormon(he isn´t mormon) but he doesnt like that i am catholic, and he tryed to forced to convert to mormon.
i have to move out his house because he doens´t accepto my religion.
he told me i have to tell lies to his mormons friends and tell them that i am going to convert mormon but i say NO.
he told YOU HAVE TO BE MORMON OR I DON´T LOVE YOU.
so that very sad i have to come back to my country.
i dont like to tell lies about my religion. i have no problems with another religions. i believe that mormons are very friendly people but in my case it was very different.
now my father tolds that i am not his daughter he doesnt know anything about me.
he has forgotten of me.
he called me GARBAGE because im from spain i doesn´t want to convert to mormon.
but i cant tell lies.
i talked to mormon church and the mormon church didnt do anything for me.
if you live in salt lake you aren´t mormon you are going to have a lot of problems because they are going to convert to mormon every day.
first try to convert your kids and latter to you.
