I heard something about putting a necklace with a ring on it. I can't remember what it means if it spins around or goes side to side? Does anybody know about this old wives tale or any others? It's just for fun! Thanks :)

Yes. Wait until the baby is born, if it has a pecker, it's a boy.
My great-grandma swore by this method.

The one your thinking of is taken from the art of pendulum dowsing. The wives tale is, take a ring (has to be yours) and put it on a necklace or piece of thread. Dangle it over your bump then move it up and down 3 times. if it then spins in a circular montion, its a girl, back a forth a boy. have fun.

Yeah, when I was pregnant someone told me that id the necklace swings side to side it's a boy and around it's a girl. I also heard other things like if you have heartburn it's a girl, if your hair seems darker it's a boy. If you have sever morning sickness it's a girl. Carrying high it's a girl, low it's a boy. there's one about heartrate, I can't remember that exactly. Craving sweet it's a girl, salty it's a boy.
I had a girl, I had morning sickness, and craved sweets, but I think relatively speaking they are wrong, sort of fun to think about though.

I totally believe in the needle and thread one. Have someone hold the thread with the needle above your wrist. If it goes up and down its a girl if it goes side to side its a boy. This will tell you how many children you will have and the sex. Inbetween babies it will make a circle and start again once at a complete stop then your done, no more kids! ha. Me and my husband did this and It was right on. We also did this to many moms and aunts and alot of them were right on. Try it, its fun! Good luck!

go to google and look up old wives tales and you can take a test on all of the old wives tales and at the end it will tally up and tell you what % for a girl and a boy. I did mine and it said 80% girl and I had my 3d ultrasound today and I'm having a girl. the only one it was wrong on is the food cravings, I crave salty food and that is supposedly for a boy.

If the pendant swings sideways its supposed to be a boy, if it swings around in a circle its a girl. But yes this is a wives tale... I mean even ultrasounds can be wrong.
I noticed that my friend, who was carrying a girl, carried very low and you could tell from behind that she was pregnant, where as another who was having a boy carried way out in front... Couldn't tell from behind that she was pregnant...

Tike a ring on a string and hold above your right hand. It it goes side to side then it's a boy, circle then a girl. But keep in mind it's a myth. there is also the one of carrying high then a boy and low is a girl.

I remember reading that if you are tired and don't feel like putting on make-up or making up your hair and things like that that it's a girl because she wants to be prettier or something like that; but I felt tired and did not want to make myself up during my pregnancy and ended up having a boy, so I don't know how accurate that one was!
I've also heard that if the heartrate is low you'll have a boy and if it's high it's a girl. That turned out true for me, my baby was 140-144 bpm. Another one that turned out to be true for me was the Chinese Calendar.

I know everyone saids if you put a needle on a piece of thread and put it above your belly, if it goes in circles its a girl and if it goes back and forth its a boy. I dont know if it works or not becuase mine went both ways and I ended up with two boy! LOL good luck
