People have been saying "the end is nigh" for thousands of years and predictions about the end times have been predicted with failure many times. Is this time anymore believable than those of last century?

No, I don't put much faith in the doomsday clock. This world is a mess and we should work to make it a better place. Using a clock to scare people is silly.

I am not sure about the doomsday clock. But it looks like we might be slowly approaching the World War III. If you analyze the situation in the world before the World War I ("the war to end all wars") you will notice that there were a lot of small regional conflicts that were growing bigger and bigger till, eventually, almost the whole world was involved. We have something like that going on again.

The Doomsday Clock is symbolic. It is simply an artificial measure created by a group of people to help explain the dangers in and the state of the world.

I'm sure all the atheists will say no, but the funny thing is that the doomsday clock is monitored by scientists, not religious figures, lmao!

I was watching the Discovery channel and such topic came up. I believe the scientists said the sun would burn out in approximately 10,000 years. We'd practically be fossil fuel by then.

No. Only God knows when the end of the world, as we know it, will come. Even Jesus doesn't know, nor the angels, nor any man or woman. Yet, to me, yes, this time is more believable than ever before. Because things in the Bible are pointing to this (things in Revelations). All countries of the world will surround Israel and then Jesus comes back and stops them. Etc.
