the problem is no PCs show up on the xbox 360.

my setup

when i select pc on the 360 music menu it cant find any computers and if i run the test connection it passes all the test till "pc selected - failed"

i have WMP11 (sharing allowed) on both PCs and the 360 shows up in the sharing settings with a green tick so the PCs can see the 360....live on the 360 works fine.....and all firewalls have been turned off

Yea you have to have the media center... but if you have an ipod you can download "optional ipod support" on the xbox live marketplace. This will take about two seconds... and then you can put your ipod in the USB ports and play music from your ipod through your xbox. Hope this helps.

I easily have an iPod, and it connects nice with my 360. i don't comprehend approximately your version although, I easily have a one hundred twenty gig, i might think of its not that new although. however the only situation I easily have is that it wont play some music, each thing else works nice although.

I think you have to have Media Centre Edition of XP or Vista.

I could be wrong though.
