It is a very long disgusting story.

2 years ago during the summer before I had my own computer, I was always on my sisters. For several day, I noticed small buggs literally dragging other bugs of the same species outside her window. Her blinds were always down, so I thought, "A couple bugs, fine." After my sister rolled UP the blinds and went outside, we found her entire window COVERED in these AWFUL bugs!! They covered an area of your whole chest/stomach region. Some of them could even fly! They started to spread all over the house, onto the deck, into our rooms, it was horrible! I think they were even part cockroach, because it took like 20 smacks with a shoe to get rid of them, and no amount of Raid or some bug killer would get rid of them. They had reddish lines on their backs and sometimes wings. They were about the size of your pink nail/cuticle (the whole pinkish part). Please wait to respond until I am done with the details!

They were mostly black other than the red lines. They could crawl really fast. Although they never got into the garden *I bet they did, but didn't stay there*. By the time I begged my parents to get rid of them, my parents said they would call an exterminater next summer. But next summer, they were gone. Now I have spotted a few, even one on my pillow, and it is severly cold winter now! Could someone please identify this bug?

That sounds like a bug I see every now and then, though they like dry areas more... I don't know what it's called though. And I think the ones I saw were bigger, slightly bigger than a half-dollar maybe? Anyway, I don't know... Hope you can get rid of them soon!
