if you start a new pack and don't take the last week you will not start your period. Is that true. I'm going on a romantic weekend with my husband and don't want that monthly visitor.

You can do it, but I wouldn't recommend doing it a lot because it can screw up your hormones.

I did it because I was going on a trip overseas where restrooms were not easily accessable. DONT do it. It messed my period up so bad. First of all I had heavy spotting the entire time and it took about 4 months for my period to get back on track.
I would seriously pick a different weekend!

It depends on the birth control. I don't think that you can with Ortho tri Cyclen just because of the level of hormones. I personally believe that there is nothing wrong with it but seasonale is a great way to only have 4 periods a year. It is what I am on and I love it.

I agree 100% with Megan. You CAN do it, but I wouldn't advise it. It messes up your system and you could have a hard time getting back on track!

It is supposed to prevent your period from occurring, however, most women will still experience some spotting.
