Within two hundred years religious conquests turned to religious freedom and the pilgrims set sail. We often refer to these men and women as our "forefathers," forgetting about the occupants that were native tho the land. Why?

In the literal sense, if you are of Native American descent, then the natives would be your forefathers. In the symbolic sense, the pilgrims are "our" forefathers no matter where we came from originally, because they started America towards what it has become today. If the pilgrims had not arrived, America would be a very different place.

Realistically, these are the people who set us up, and then we became what we are from there.
We don't usually have animal spirits, like the natives, you know?
And realistically, this kind of conquering and genocide is part of animal life.
How ironic is that.
Anyway, we are no different from any other species that competes with its own kind for land(territory), the biggest of all resources.

Because without them we would have the nation today which we call the United States of America.
