yes, i think its sexier :) and plus, i like being a women and having a woman role....im half feminist, but not all the way there. Men and women ARE different, like it or not...might as well embrace the differences and make them work together. it doesnt make one sex any less important than the other!

When a head of house hold is necessary, then the most qualified person should be it.
The forces that are at work here are not always logical because the rules used are often not upgraded from prehistory. The forces that are summed to make this choice will not often include deliberate thought but are likely a mix of pride, possible physical dominance, desire to be the head of household and recognition of societal traditions.
It may be that in some households there is no always-on leader and some may share the roles according to ability. In some cases, probably obscure, either party is comfortable making the decisions based on opportunity during practiced load sharing.

Yes, at least titular. Let the woman run the house and take care of all the little problems and decisions. Then, in the event of a major decision or solution required, the man can step in.
I have been married for 51 years, and I have yet to make a major decision. So, I guess our way is working. But, I am ready when needed.

I don't think it's necessary that man should be the head of the house by default. I think both partners should discuss it and should determine their roles. On the other hand, the husband and wife can be equal partners in the responsibility. This would seem like the most ideal arrangement.

Well, if you mean that he's the one who should work and bring money to the house, yes, the man should do that.
But if you mean that the man has authority in the house, and makes all important decisions, then no. There are TWO people in a marriage, so they should both have equal rights to make choices and give their opinion

NO! I think it should be an equal partnership, using each person's strengths.
Why would one sex be superior to the other one?????
Of course, everyone can make their own "agreed-upon" arrangement in a marriage!

Don't you think in a marriage the woman should be the head of the house too!! One person should not be put above another due to their gender, race, religion, etc..

Absolutely not, a marriage is a partnership and each partner is equal. Especially when there's children both parents should be allies. Even if the other parent doesn't agree--that should be discussed privately at a later time.

Yes, actually I do. Both opinions have to be taken into consideration, but the man should be the one to make the final decision. If, and only if, he's wise, he'll make the right decision.

If the man is the Bread Winner, then he gets to be the C.E.O of the Houehold corporation... but as we know, the Chief Executive Officer is just a figure head. The wife is the C.F.O... Chief FINANCIAL Officer. And manager...
