Sometimes. Since squares are rectangles with four congruent sides, any square will be similar to any other square, and both of them are rectangles.

Definetly not always. It depends upon whether you agree that a square is still a rectangle. If you consider squares to be rectangles, then sometimes. If not, then never.

They are sometimes alike. A rectangle is not necessarily a square, but a square is always a rectangle.

Rectangle: 4 equal, 90 degree angles, 2 sets of parallel and congruent sides, diagonals bisect, diagonals are congruent

Basically, a rectangle with equal sides is a square (and rectangle)
A rectangle with unequal sides is not
