Ok typically if the contractions get harder and last longer it is considered the start of early labor. I just got out from being in the hospital overnight because my contractions were regular but didn't get more intense over time. If yours are getting more intense then you are probably on your way!

Start timing the contractions based on when they start and how far apart they are. Is there maybe a neighbor that you trust to watch your kids? If your contractions get worse you will definitely need to go to the hospital. Maybe call the hospital and tell them your situation about your kids. You never know, there might be a few nurses around that would be willing to keep an eye on them while you get checked out. I'm sure it's not the first time that has happened.

Oh yeah, at the hospital they tried to pull that dehydration crap on me too. I told them I drink at least 3 liters of water a day so that wasn't causing my contractions.

Good luck and I hope that I helped!

I just read your previous question... if you are only 33 weeks along you should not be having contractions like that. If you think you lost part or all of your mucus plug then it's very well likely that you are in pre term labor. I am 30 weeks along and am a high risk pregnancy b/c of previous preterm labor (with my son) and present preterm labor as of 28 weeks. I told my dr last week that i've been having non rythmic contractions on and off during the day and he said that I am NOT supposed to have any contractions at this point in my pregnancy until i'm atleast 34 weeks along. You could be in preterm labor! Drink some fluids and go lay down for awhile. While laying down keep track of how many you are having. If you are having more than 6 an hour go to the hospital immediately! To be on the safe side I'd call them anyway and see what they tell you to do. There are things that they can do for you if you are in preterm labor! There are ways to stop it! A full term baby is 38-42 weeks, you dont want to have a premie!

If your stomach is tightening then you are either in early labor or having braxton hicks. Is it time for your due date? Time the contractions and if they come every fove minutes then go to the hospital. I wish the best for you, the hot flashes aren't making you sick are they? If so call for help

More details please! How many weeks are you? How long is the contraction? How far apart are they?

I had my daughter at 37 weeks. I was three weeks early for my first pregnancy, so it's possible you could be early.

But really, if you feel something is wrong, call your doctor.

It sounds like it might be early labour then. I'd just continue with my normal life as long as I can. It'll probably be a few hours until you need to go anywhere. Can you call anyone to let them know you might need help with your twins, or will someone be there soon?
