Of course you would be called Asian and not middle-eastern or some such, since India is technically within the Asian continent. Anyone who tells you different, is just plain wrong. You are Asian generally and an Indian specifically. :)

No hon. You would not be considered Asian. The proper designation for people from the subcontinent of India is Indian - not anything else. You would not be Indonesian either. Indonesian would be Indonesia, Malaysia, Bali, Java, Sumatra.
Yes India is a part of the Asian continent - but it is considered the subcontinent - and people from India are always considered Indian.

Up till a fortnight in the past, or so, i replace into fairly beneficial that my understanding, of a few thirty years length, of the word Persecute replace into fairly sparkling. curiously, i don't know what i'm speaking approximately, in spite of the undeniable fact that. I propose, i've got "been positioned mind-blowing" on the priority. I now have a lots clearer understanding of the which skill of the word. that's making it slightly puzzling for me to confirm my way via a historic previous of WW2, in spite of the undeniable fact that. by some skill, references to the Nazis poking relaxing at, and calling Jews names does not ring real. nonetheless, what do historians know, besides? everybody is conscious that the thrashing coronary heart of standard lifestyle, and the crucible of the evolution of the English language lies mind-blowing right here.

This is a good question.
No. In the US and most predominantly English speaking countries, Asian refers to peoples of East and South-East Asian descent.

India is in the Asian continent, and in my Art History class, the art of Inda was referred to in our Asian Art unit. But it's not in the East Asian class of countries like Japan and China.
Hope that helps. :)

Yeah. India is in Asia, which makes you Asian.

Hey
i think alot of people use the term Asian as a generalisation because then that way they don't offend someone by saying they are from one country and they are in fact from a different.
