When is the ocean near Charleston S. Carolina warm enough to swim in??? Or what are the average temperatures?

We want to visit as soon as we can but swimming in the ocean is key.

That part of the Atlantic is cold right now, it warms up in April (I've swum there are early as late March, but it was only about 60). May is a better bet, in the summer the warm gets really warm there it stays warm until late October.
