Happiness for me is to like myself internally so as not to have to look outside, or look to you to make me feel happy.

Happiness is a state of mind.

When I get what I think is going to make me happy, it does for a time then I get used to it and look for something else.

Some people become content with small things, others are content for a short time and look for more. Nothing wrong with striving for more.

But with this in mind, it says we are looking outside for things to satisfy us. Permanent happiness is not found externally in things.

Personally - its my goal in life. Its my meaning in life. I strive for it every day. Its the easiest way for me to summarize life- "To be the happiest you can be". I know there are ups and downs. But it gives me a life long goal. And as of the moment... am coming along quite well. =)
