I usually don't but I've seen people do it? Is it cool or not, and WHY?

Ive never done it, why would you? Trunks are great because you're free. Why reign it in?

Usually for when they get out of the pool and their wet bathing suit is basically stuck on their junk so the world can see. Plus they are all shrunk up from being in the pool. Another reason is if they were to buy board shorts instead of swim trunks, then they don't have a liner so it is for comfort. Another reason is so people can't see up their pant legs when siting down because most guys sit with their legs wide open. And it might help a little if they are hard. I wear compression shorts underneath mine. We'll I hope this helps.

I also have seen people do it. But more common or popular is to wear just the swim shorts or speedos under some shorts.

Well, you obviously don't wear u/w under your speedos. I have a pair of swim shorts that don't have an inner net. It would get a little too revealing if I didn't wear briefs underneath them. The same would go for some white swim shorts.

i've been on a swim team since i was 4 and i have never seen anyone w/ their underwear on. i've seen them wear drag suits on over top their regular suits to create drag but no underwear (maybe that's what u saw)

no its not cool people do it because they think they can. But i practice water polo 5 days a week and no b ody wears their boxers in the water. And the water polo players know all about swimming in style

my dad goes to the pool with shorts but he dose not go with under ware under they say that if you want wear under ware that it is a good chance of getting balls in fetid and if you want to were than were a speedo and your off

Actually yea it is as long as your not wearing anything 2 revealing underneath its perfectly fine.

some people wear it with boardshorts because it is more comfortable that way. This is because boardshorts don't have the net that swimming trunks have.
