If you can include translation to English, that would be great. I am living in Germany for some time, and am trying to teach myself the language.

ALS ich NACH hause kam sah ich, DASS sie sich AM arm verletzt hatte. also fragt ich sie: "tut es NOCH weh?"

when i got home i noticed that she'd hurt her arm. so i asked her: "does is still hurt?"

als = Als ich nach Hause ging wares dunkel (When I went home, it was dark) als=when
dass = Es ist so heiss, dass das Eis schmilzt (It is so hot, that the ice melts) dass=that
am = Am Abend gehen wir nach hause (In the evening we go home) am is the short form of "an dem" Am Haus, Am Strand etc.
nach = Wir fahren nach Berlin (We drive to Berlin)
Nach Dir (After you) nach can mean many things like after or to.
noch = Wir haben noch Zeit (we still have time) noch = still
noch nicht (not yet) noch = yet
here also more possibilities

Many people answered already your question. I just want to say, if you want to learn this language, just try to talk and read a lot of little things, watch some TV and use often your dictionary.
I learn like that my German language without school and made it my Currier as secretary in Frankfurt Germany.

Als ich kam, war sie schon weg. = When I came she was already gone.
Größer als = taller/bigger than
Ich sah, dass er weinte= I saw that he cried
Wir treffen uns am Ausgang = We meet at the exit
Wir treffen uns am 13. = we meet on the 13th
Ich gehe nach Hause = I go home
Es its nach 3 = It's after three
Bist du noch da? = Are you still with me?

1. als - when (temporal) / than (comparative)
Als ich duschte, klingelte das Telefon. - When I was taking a shower the telephone rang. or
Blut ist dicker als Wasser. - Blood is thicker than water.

2. dass - that
Ich glaube nicht, dass heute Sonntag ist. - I don´t believe, that it is sunday today.

3. am - on
Am Sonntag will mein Liebster mit mir segeln gehen. - My darling wants to go sailing with me on sunday

4. Nach - to /past
Ist das der Weg nach amarillo? - Is this the way to Amarillo?
Es ist zehn Minuten nach fünf. - It is ten past five.

5. Noch -still
Lebst Du noch?
Are you still alive

das and dass are two different words and are used before a Words you write with a big capital letter. In english we have 'the' in ger. 'der,' 'die' und 'das.'Als wir nach hause kamen_when we came home....Das Haus ist schon fertig- the house is already finished....Wir gehen noch am morgen nach hause-.We are still going home in the mornig.....noch -still. but 'still' means also quiet in german. so have fun learnig it.
