The CIA is not permitted to assassinate heads of state without explicit presidential authorization. It is unlikely President Bush has ordered his assassination.

The CIA has botched many assassination attempts in the past. Just look at Hugo's friend Fidel.

Also, why should the CIA assassinate him?

I imagine Chavez has a much right to live and run his country as does the president of the United States. What has Chavez done other than to call Bush a name. Yes, he is changing the way his country is run, but then, doesn't every head of state? We can't go around 'assinating' people because they don't believe as we do.
