Pope John Paul II, He was a symbol of warmth and kindness! Am I right?

I'm not even baptized, or follow religion for that matter. But the image of him, and watching him when he was alive always gave me a warm feeling. He was a great man! If there is a god, I hope he is sitting next to him!

I loved John Paul II he was one of the greatest Popes in History. He tried to unite so many people and was such a loving and compassionate man. When he passed away I cried so much, I did not go to sleep, I watched all the coverage of his funeral. It was so very sad and yet so very uplifting. As a Catholic to see the centuries old traditions. I loved that he insisted he be buried with the brown shoes he had worn for years, rather then the fancy shoes other Popes are traditionally buried in, a man of the people.
John Paul II was the first Pope in Centuries to have the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church not only come to his funeral but participate in his mass. He had representatives of many religions, governments, and people of all social classes attend or watch his funeral, that speaks highly of a man who started out as a lowly priest in an impoverished, conflicted country.
A man who reached out to all people and was respected and loved by all.
Sorry, I loved that man as a representative of not only the Catholic Church but of Unity. He is with God.
