My singing is probably worse than yours, but I'll try and answer anyway.
When you listen to a song you like, listen like you've never heard it before. Instead of only noticing the words or the notes and such, listen to the pauses and speed and emphasis. Listen to what's actually happening, rather than a pre--and perhaps poorly--conceived idea of what the song sounds like. Do the same with your singing; try to hear it instead of feeling it sometimes, because what feels good in your throat might sound bad from somewhere else. Look at all the terrible, clueless people on early American Idol auditions.
Good singers don't always have naturally good voices. It's how you use it. Listen to a Billy Joel song; they sound good but if you listen to his singing voice it's not that distinguished.
Find a friend who can sing well and notice/ask what they're doing and you're not.

I like your first two answers. Also remember, your voice is an instrument. The more you practice, the better you'll be, and the more you'll develop your ear. Never try to sing out of your key and always try to warm up your voice before singing. Many professional singers use scales for this. Best of luck to you.

take lessons. if you cant affor them thenyou need to buy an electrnic tuner. i use my guitar tuner. you need to to go though all the notes abcdefg. you might try to hit a perfect a for a couple hours. then do the same for B. dont get burnt out but soon you will know what an B or A sounds like and your voice will remember how to make that note come out.

singing lessons! no really, or learn how to play an instrument. learning music in general helps your ear and tone. If you can sing and play guitar or piano too people will also take you more seriously. good luck :)

Don't feel bad. Some people just don't have a voice for singing....
And there is really nothing you can do about it .
