he hardly ever smiles and keep seeing him smile? What happened to him? Did something happen? If so what changed his attitude?

With the lack of talent he has had to deal with through 2 cities, I believe he is smiling to keep from crying at how bad these people really are.

Seriously, I think think the whole rude thing is just an act, just for the show. He is smiling a lot, I have noticed too.
I kind of compare House to him. They are both rude to people and insulting and hardly ever smiling...but they actually are kind and attractive...ha!
