I have an Ibook I bought a few years back, it runs OSX 10.4. I can't find a usb wireless adapter that says it runs on a mac. The guy at the store told me that certain ones that run on a
PC will also run on a mac. Does anyone know what brands and models do?

All of them will run on Macs. As long as it's formatted FAT32, Macs and PCs can both use it.
