how to do eye makeup like Alicia Keys?

everytime i try to do black eyeliner on lower lashes, i look scary.. how do they do it on her so her eyes look so amazing??

you could try a liquid eyeliner or if its to dark then try getting a eyeliner with a smudger it makes it look suttler

I'm sure you looks great in anything, not necessarily in Alicia Keys' makeup.
