I have a Dell laptop (With Windows XP and Pentium "M"). The model is a "Latitude D800".

no offense, but i doubt u hav the knowledge and/or experience to do something like that. im a major computer geek and even i dont know how to do that. unlike a desktop, a laptop wasnt made to hav its components taken out regularly. u wud probably hav to take the whole thing apart just to do that. with a desktop however u just open the case, unplug the cables from the drive, and slide it out of the drive bay. if u hav to take it out, take it to a computer store with a good reputation and let them do it for u.

It's not simple. I have a Latitude 800 that I've taken the hard drive out of. It involves about 30 screws of all different sizes and enough prying and coaxing of stuff in the computer this way and that to wreck it if you make the smallest mistake.

look under the back of the laptop and if you see a rectangle with two scress i think that will be it.
