I have been on the pill for the last 3 yrs and just stopped taking it about 2 months ago. The first month after I stopped, I got my period right on time. This month, which is the 2nd month, I am already 8 days late. During this time we used a condom, but we also used the pull out method ONCE....I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. But I feel sleepy and tired and have really bad lower back pain. Can anyone please tell me if they've been through it or their opinion...
Thank you.

I doubt it. When you take birth control, your changing your hormones up a bit, which is why many women feel ill or nauseous when they first start taking it. When you stop, especially abruptly without weaning yourself, your hormones will take a while to get back into gear. How long ago did you do the pull out method? I ask because it's relevant to when your period was due. e.g. If your period was due 8 days ago, and you had unprotected sex 14 days ago, your body is not yet making enough HGC hormone to show up positive on a standard test. Are your breasts incredibly sore? Are you feeling the need to go to the bathroom constantly? The only way to tell absolutely and for sure is to get a blood test from your doctor, or wait a few more days and try another test.

I think you could be pregnant. Those methods are not that effective. Did you take the test only a couple of days after you missed your period? Sometimes it takes up to 10 days to tell. After I went off BC it took about 4 months before my periods started to be regular again. You might just need to wait a couple of days.

I can't give you a definitive answer to whether your pregnant or not, obviously i couldn't know for sure, your best bet is to just stay calm, all these symptoms your describing can be cause by stress just as easily. My past girlfriends has always thrown fits thinking they were pregnant, If i were in your position I would just try and get your mind off it and make sure you use a condom everytime, no excuses. Condoms protect against way more than just pregnancy, so be careful.

I was once precisely four weeks pregnant. I learned the day my interval will have to have began. Normally I might have waited, however some thing did not consider proper so I took a scan. I am now 21 weeks three days w/ little one one million.

you're probably not pregnant and just reacting to not having the hormones that are in the pill. I missed the pill for a week and i was so messed up and i thought i was pregnant too. Your body is just not used to having a set dose of hormones so it's all over the place, probably a lot like before you started the pill. i hope i helped and that you figure it out soon :)

To make sure ,you should take another test. Calculate the days up from the time ya'll did what ya'll did to the last time you had you period. See if there some connection or maybe your periods just late.

well the first year after taking the pill can be odd because you're body suddenly has to regulate itself after 3 years of doing none of the work. but you could also be pregnant. I'd go to the doctor for a blood test to be sure!

You're just unbalanced that happens when you stp taking the pill some times, Take another test in two days. I think you just have period symptoms. I mean you would be nausseous if pregnant.
