Tarkenton threw like a girl. Although he could scramble, he was worse than Chad Pennington with arm strength.....wait can there be anyone worse than him? Yes, his name? FRAN TARKENTON!!!!! I'm going with Cris Carter on this one. He had the best hands in the league when he was in his prime. He is lost in the record books because he never was flashy or made it to the big game.

Fran Tarkenton 4 superbowls every other vikings quarterback 0. Fran Tarkenton changed the Quarterback position for the world. Every other QB except for Campbell nothin.

Tarkenton would be the most overrated of all time in the entire NFL.
Take away every dump pass he threw to backs out of the backfield (he couldn't pick out receivers downfield) and he'd be just another 2nd string Giants reject.
The Vikes could have been a pro bowl team by themselves in the years Fran QB'd the team...YOU could have QB'd those teams and done as well or better!
Fran was as good a QB as he was a football broadcaster...He was a dump passer and GOT dumped as a broadcaster (all he could add to any broadcast was his whine "He's got him He's got him" on any pass down field...I guess he was amazed that the QB could do that!)

He's a good one, but there's also those Purple People Eaters so I can't just choose one. There's also Ahmad Rashad, Chuck Foreman, Randy Moss (I know, I know, but when he was on, he was on). Way too hard to pick just one.
