The prices and the fact that you have to go through an agent to buy it (and knowing that some lady is making a profit off of you) are the main things that bother me. I will admit that I am addicted to their creamy cleanser, but I hate that some of the ladies that sell it act like drug dealers just to get it to you. I got way to many women e-mailing me all the time asking me if I need new product (NO I have you number IT'S ON THE BACK OF THE BOTTLES- if I need something I WILL CALL YOU), women will stop me on the street, come to my door. I just gets really irritating and makes the product not worth the money.

I think SO many women see it as their mother's or grandmother's make-up. They don't realize how much the skincare and make-up have been re-vamped. Also, they think it's too expensive, when in fact it is less expensive than most department store brands. Also, a lot of people think you have to wait for their order because they only know consultants that don't have inventories. (which, by the way, is SO important so that people can take home anything they want). I always stress that the products last so long you end up spending very little in the long run. Yes, I pay $55 for their microdermabrasion set. BUT, it lasted me 10 months!!!!! For me, that is worth it. Plus, I love not having to fight crowds at Dillards or Wal-Mart or whereever to pick out my make-up.
Also, I think most people don't realize they can try before they buy and that almost all consultants offer full exchanges and some offer refunds. Plus, there is always those couple really pushy, 'crazy' Mary Kay ladies and that has become the stereotype. I find pushy 'crazy' women everywhere, though, and they don't all sell Mary Kay!
I also wonder about those that say it is not a good product... Have they given it a good chance and really tried it? Or, are they just going off of a second or third hand opinion? I don't really know, I love it and have used it since Jr. High so any thoughts I have are mearly conjecture.

It may be the way you are speaking or even the tone you use in your voice, if you are really excited about the product, you'll probably have better results. When you speak to people, you have to let them know how much you love the product. Always have your Mary Kay face on and dress for success. Mary Kay is not that expensive and you don't always have to wait for your product, if your consultant has product on hand like I do. Mary Kay is No. 1 product in America. It's better than MAC or Loreal. This is the best skin care and cosmetic line I have ever used. I will never use anything else.

Because it's extremely heavy, I've use some Mary Kay products before, the cleansers. At my friends bacherlorette party she had a Mary Kay party, I had to take it off a couple hours later, it felt so heavy on my face, that is also why 3 other girls took it off later also. I won't ever use it again.

I'd rather buy quality MAC makeup over-the-counter at Sephora's than order makeup from just some person. MAC offers vibrant and beautiful colors and the prices aren't bad. Plus it lasts a long time.

I wouldn't ever buy it because it's expensive, i dont want to wait for my makeup to get here. Alot of expensive brands like that are actually not as good as drug store makeup and more people are starting to be well aware that the drugstore makeup works just as good as the expensive brands.

I have only heard of one person telling me that Marky Kay products break them out. Other than that, people I know say that they swear by Mary Kay products. My boyfriends mother got me into the line and I love it ! I love the facial care.. It has changed my life, and I reccomend it to anyone!

I just think that the prices are a little too high for me. Personally, if I could afford them I would buy the products because from what I have tried they really are good products.

true, its very expensive. lots of women and girls are not allergic to the department store fare and can buy 10 bottles of nail polish for the price of one MK. Some of us are pinching pennies a lot these days. And then there are ladies who are allergic. Me for one.
