Would you go to Hollywood or be a laughingstock for America?

For Walking Contradiction....
I think I sound pretty good and I have had people tell me that I have a good voice...but I doubt that I would be good enough to go to Hollywood

Well I certainly hope I'm not that bad that I'd be the next William Hung or anything but I def wouldnt be going to hollywood!

Honestly: I think I would have a really good chance to make it to Hollywood. I have that jazzy type of voice. I wouldn't really like to be bragging about it and become a big Hollywood freak. I enjoy doing musicals and more stuff like that. I couldn't really take being in that kind of pressure. I would also probably miss everyone too much...
Honestly: I would probably be too nervous to even sing...

It's scary that some of these kids actually think they are GOOD. Sadly they are exploited for the show is about comedy as much as it is about talent. That show runs for what 5 months? So the first half is totally about all these self-delusional people here. I mean have they never heard themselves?
But you know what...some people are half good...meaning they can pass and do a great job on karaoke but never really have that "WOW" factor as Simon puts it. These kids just do it to get on TV which is why even the whackos do it...I mean some know they will never make it, but some are just so....I don't know what the word is...it's way beyond naive...that they honestly think they have a chance.
Would I? Never!! And I do a good karaoke too...but would never humiliate myself like that.

If I tried out for American Idol, I would go to Hollywood. I can sing, as well as others in my family.

No way. Most of those people must not be able to hear their own voices. And that is why they end up becoming a laughingstock. It reminds me of the old gong show.

I'd go to Hollywood... but I've never tried out because I would miss my boyfriend, friends, and family too much..
But honestly you can't expect accurate poll results from this quetsion... alot of the people on Idol are the laughing stock and they are absolutely convinced they are going to Hollywood

even though practically everyone believes they're going to Hollywood, I genuinely think I could make it to Hollywood. Now beyond that, I have no idea.

Laughingstock. It is so horrible my son want even let me sing in the car and he's only 6

If I got to audition in my shower or in my car I not only would go to Hollywood, I'd win. Otherwise, laughing stock for sure.
