I will only support Israel when a sovereign Palestine is its next door neighbor. It is the responsiblity of those in power (Israelis) to keep the peace--and they have put their own interests first.
Likewise, I shall only support a Palestine with and Israel next door, and expect the Palestinians to seek compromise--and they have put their own interests first, unfortunately.

I usually steer clear of Israeli/Palestinian relations, but your question touched a nerve. I returned to college several years ago in a school that brought in a lot of foreign students. While I already had a little knowledge about Israeli bigotry, what I heard there from the Palestinian Christians opened my eyes a great deal. Not only were the Israelis stealing their land & treating them like they do the Muslims, the Muslims treated them even worse, even though they were of the same ethnicity.
I know the Israelis are a very bigoted people; Unfortunately, the same seems to be true of the Muslims in Palestine.
I've strayed from the Q - the Palestinians have the right to their own country, w/o Israeli interference. Both sides have a right to exist in peace. And at this point, neither side can be trusted to allow that to happen.

Can I assume you are Jewish? I have tried to keep an open mind on this issue but I lean heavily toward Israel. Ownership is 9/10ths of the law. Maybe with luck if everyone agreed to leave things as they are the Middle East could find peace & stop being a pain ine the World's rear end. We could only hope!

Israel has too be tough, maybe they are too tough, but they are not the evil in their particular situation. Palestinians send their own to kill other civilians by suicide bombings. They had also elected a well known terrorist organization to govern them. The Palestinians are by no means the innocent ones. Israel has given them land and made peace deals with them. Who always breaks the deal? Palestine.

I can't really say I support either one. I just wish they could live in peace. I don't understand why there has to be so much violence. If they want their children to live in a better world, they have to stop acting like little boys on a playground (a very large playground... with missiles and tanks) and just stop fighting.

What you say is very sad, but what about the Palestinian suicide bombers who have blown up Israeli children just trying to get to school to get an education. Stop the killing!!!!

Israel. Sorry, too much history to support its existence. I'm really sorry about all the violence, but Hamas really needs to stop sending people to blow up buses.
