The area that she is working in, the "psychological" area is of
course the area of sorcery (when it is not Christian). By driving
Christian thought out of respectable intellectual discussion we are really condemning our society to demonic influence. As
evidenced everywhere, to the discerning.

They're just people, who choose to try to help other people. They'll encourage you to talk, and probably suggest that you hate your father, or your mother, etc. but they're fishing. You should think for yourself and decide, after giving it fair consideration, whether it could be true. Don't accept every comment as an absolute, and don't automatically agree with whatever they say. You know yourself better than someone else ever will, and you know what your problems are. If you have a question, they could probably help you look at it in a different light or help you understand why this or that, which could be a big help. If he acts like he thinks the MD stands for Master of Deity, find a different doctor.

No sorcerer/ess, just someone who has studied human behavior and knows medications and how they work if necessary, IF he/she is a psychiatrist (MD). A psychologist is not a medical doctor and cannot prescribe medications, but can help you understand other human nature and how another person might think to help you better understand what's going on, and how to cope, but sometimes they don't know either.

Sorceress? No..

Why? Because a sorceress would imply magical powers, whilst a Psychologist uses scientifically researched theory and interventions to help people. A Psychologist works to the best interests of the person, so there is no personal gain (as a sorceress would maybe use magical powers for personal gain).

I am not really a believer in all that, but if you just want to talk about definitions then no.

A psyh(chic??) is someone with the innate ability to uh... do supernatural stuff, like predict the future or see ghosts or whatever... whether they want to or not.

and a Sorceress is someone who consciously goes out of their way to use the supernatural for good or bad.

Oh wait, was that supposed to be psychiatrist... no, definitely not the same at all. Regardless of your views on either.

A psychologist deals with peoples emotions and helps them to see why they are making the choices they are and to choose a different path. A sorceress deals with nature, potions, spell casting and magic arts. So no, I don't think they are one and the same.
