Circumference = 2*pi*r = 2*3.142*18 = 113.112
1/3 rd revolution dist travelled= 113.112/3 = 37.7in

A windshield wiper traces out a circle with a radius of 18inches. After 1/3 of a revolution, it will trace out one third of that circle's circumference.
The circumference is 2x(pi)x(radius). So, 1/3 of the circumference is approximately:
2 x pi x 18 x (1/3) = 37.3 inches

basically take the circumference the wiper would make if it can swing all the way around. so 2pi(18)
but you only want 1/3 a rev, so divide the circumference by 3 and that would give u 12pi = 37.699 inches
