try poetry.com, or writing.com

if nothing is there, just search for 'poetry' on google or something.
there all all different kinds of poems....sad, love, hate...you name it, so narrow your search, read, and have fun with it. there are literally millions of possibilities.

good luck in your search.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

- Invictus, William Ernest Henley

That's one of my favorite poems.

Try looking up Maya Angelou or Robert Frost. Their poetry is excellent and powerful. I especially love Maya Angelou's I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. Also, Ralph Fleching is good.

You should write one yourself. You stated that you all have been "...studying about poetry."
