Miss Manners says it's the gender of the hat, not the wearer, that decides whether it comes off indoors, at prayer, at meals, etc. A baseball cap is still considered masculine, so it comes off, while an Easter bonnet would stay on.

If your wearing a ball cap, then I'd say yes. But if at a funeral or something and wearing a dressy hat then no. I wear ball caps all the time and when a funeral car passes I take my hat off out of respect. Someone on the side of the road did this at my mom's funeral and I thought it was really nice.

in public, no one need take off their hat. except when the national anthem is playing, then a man should take his hat off. In a church, the man takes his off and a woman should cover hers.

Very stylish of you to congratulate the different crew :) i'm type of bummed. i actually needed the Flyers to win, even besides the undeniable fact that i'm a Devils fan, yet that became a tremendous attempt by the Pens again 3-0. sturdy success next season :)

Just the men, I'd say. Because even in church the women are supposed to wear something on their heads, well, at least in the olden days.
