Try looking at lyrics or listening to a guy named Phil Ochs. (pronounced: oaks)

I aint marchin anymore
the draft dodger rag
cops of the world.

are a few song titles......

he wrote many many other songs. His words are as true today as they were when he wrote them.

I think this is the kind of stuff you are looking for.
also check out (and you can hear it on the web) Barry Mcguire's "Eve Of Destruction":
" Eastern world- it is explodin, violence flarin, bullets loadin'
your old enough to kill but not for votin'
ya dont beleive in war whats that gun yer totin'?
even the Jordan River has bodies floatin' ..."

A 60s classic and still pertainant.

You know pretty much the entire 60s rock movement had something to say about society. Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, Arlo Guthrie, Andy Warhol. Look into them. They aren't even the tip of the iceberg.
