There is no such thing as reality. We are just little cartoon characters. No we can't be...cartoons are not real. Electricity is not real. Stick your finger in the socket. It is not real. It will not hurt you. Nothing is real. Not even your question is real. My answer is not real. Don Rickles is just a figment of your imagination. No he can't be...he is not real. Neither is your imagination. You are in big trouble. No, you can't be. trouble is not real.

While I will agree with you that all fantasies are real, and that most people's idea of the universe is more fantasy than reality, I will not agree that all reality is fantasy as well.

In fact, I'll have to stick with John Locke on this one (much as I don't care for many other things he has to say). He once said about people who choose to believe that their life is but a dream:

"...if our dreamer pleases to try whether the glowing heat of a glass furnace be barely a wandering imagination in a drowsy man's fancy, by putting his hand into it, he may perhaps be wakened into a certainty greater than he could wish, that it is something more than bare imagination."

When reality SUCKS I always escape to fantasy, and let my inner child out to play.

Reality is subjective but once you find someone with the same fantasy it has become relative.
