I have been hearing rumors that Tendulkar have agreed to take over captaincy after the World Cup, if the selectors give it to him. I've even heard that ESPN Sportscentre have covered this news. Have anyone else heard about it ?

He is talented player but out of form like sehwag. He should be rested for couple of series.
Its not rumor selectors asked sachin for vice captain job, he instantly accepted the proposal. Further they also offered captaincy after world cup.
So we can understand the frame of minds of Indian cricket board selectors about coming world cup. They are not confident Rahul Dravid can win the world cup ?

Sachin Tendulkar is not taking over the captiancy but is chosen as the vice-captian.as the team management and the selectors thought that they need a senior player is best suited for the job in the absence of the captian Rahul Dravid

tendulkar doesnt deserve captaincy.
he has no consistency. he cant be a good influence on the team
how can he give confidence to a team when he is himself low on morale
