I saw that show on Bravo, and the reason is because there were certainly many conflicts with her and the show. Her personal life is kept pretty secret to her, and when she went to the bathroom, she left because she is not suppose to be interviewed live in front of an audience according to her contract she received after Season 10 or 11 was done. She technically did not want to talk about her salary issue with the network in public. In 1998, after a threatened walkout, the principal Simpsons actors were given a raise from $30,000 to $125,000 per episode. In 2004, they refused to speak their lines until FOX agreed to pay $250,000 per episode. By comparison, the principal actors in Friends were paid $1 million per episode by the end of that series' run. That is why she did not return for her trip from the bathroom on "Inside the Actor's Studio". She also did not like to do her Marge voice in public.

Julie Kavner has always been extremely against doing the Bouvier voices in public. She feels that it detracts from the illusion, and won't do Marge, et al on talk shows or interviews of any kind.
When the Simpsons cast held out for more moolah a few years ago, one of the concessions they had to make when they got their (well-deserved) raises was going on James Lipton's show to promote a season premier. Kavner agreed to do the first half of the show (and when she did do Marge, they would cut to a clip for the visual)...when it finally devolved from an actual interview with the performers to an "interview" with the characters, she was given permission to bail.

I know that Tracy Ulman had a big beef with the cast because most of them came from her show, which featured the Simpson's. So maybe that's why she can't be seen doing the voices. It was really cool to see them all doing it and finding who did who in Springfield!

She had another commitment and that is why she left. She also has a contract that indicates she cannot be filmed while doing voices.

I don't know the exact reason, but I know that it was written into their contract that she not be shown doing voices and not doing the Q/A section of it.
